Nature blessed Veracruz with a huge coral reef system formed by 23 islands a few minutes boat ride from the port of Boca Del Río and Antón Lizardo.  This coral reef system is a nursery and refuge of commercial species.  The abundance and beauty of the multicolored species in harmony with the coral, make these areas places of solace, spiritual as well as sporting pleasure.  Adding all this to the economic importance of rational tourism gave this area sufficient value to be decreed a National Marine Park and Protected Natural Area.
